Quilt for baby Rock

February 1, 2010

This is a super-simple stripey quilt I made for my friend’s baby boy, Rock. If you are interested, you can see how insanely cute he is here. I started with the blue & brown bird print, & went from there. The brown & blue palette reminded me of a quilt I’d seen recently, & that style seemed appropriate so I went with it.

It is quilted in my rows of curls pattern, adding interest by doing different sizes, & some rows upside down. The back is a solid creamy white with one row of patchwork.

As always, you can click on the thumbnails to see larger photos.

I love it! I can tell it’s inspired by Ashely’s quilt, but it’s definitely unique. I really like the contrast between the thread and the lighter fabrics. Beautiful!

What a pretty quilt! I love the fabrics that you used for this and the loopy quilting.
